DYLAN ARRUDA
EDITOR
WRITER
Dylan creates sci-fi/fantasy episodic stories with a heavy emphasis on world-building, atypical families, characters in search of identity, and power struggles within societal constructs.
Through his work, Dylan explores what it means to be human in a world where technology challenges our relationships.
Dylan's most recent published work is a short film titled Food For Wolves, which was an international collaboration with a production team of students from RISEBA University in Riga, Latvia. The short first screened publicly at the RiverRun International Film Festival in Spring of 2023.
Dylan started editing as most storytellers do, when creating his first short films (nearly 16 years ago). Editing soon became much more of a professional pursuit, carrying into Dylan's first professional job at W.B. Mason. Here, Dylan created short-form digital advertisements to post on Instagram and Facebook while also tracking their analytics.
He carved out a new role at the company, overseeing the entire pipeline for the company's digital ads, taking meetings with reps from partner companies like Keurig, Hewlett-Packard, Hammermill and Hershey.
Editing stretched beyond W.B. Mason when Dylan started graduate school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. While working towards his M.F.A. in Screenwriting, Dylan started an LLC called Starfall Productions where he worked freelance for companies and artists.

GAME DESIGNER
Dylan has always loved playing games, but in 2016 he started to seriously consider making them himself.
It all started with the dice game Cosmic Clash, which Dylan took to Kickstarter and soon after pitched to publishers at Gen Con and Pax East.
Dylan branched into other genres like resource management, drafting, adventure, area control, and most recently social deduction. The games are primarily fantasy and sci-Fi themed.
Since then, Dylan has conceptualized 12 games, prototyped 6, and is currently in development on his latest 2, which will hopefully be released in Spring of 2025.
